Design of a Cylindrical Crossed Dipole Phased Array Antenna for Weather Surveillance Radars

چکیده

We present a cylindrical dual-polarization phased array antenna for weather surveillance radars that features high isolation, matched copolar beams, low sidelobe levels, and adaptive null steering. crossed dipole element to replace the patch on currently deployed polarimetric radar (CPPAR). The offers suppressed surface wave lower coupling between adjacent elements of an array. As result, we achieved backlobe higher match beams CPPAR compared multi-layer antenna. Further reduction level steering are obtained using modified particle swarm optimization. proposed mitigates interference among four concurrent radar. improvement in radiation characteristics has been verified by comparing presented antenna’s patterns existing aperture coupled can benefit national networks provide accurate multiparameter measurements enabling reliable observation severe phenomena.
